		<description>It is such a struggle, and we have met with opposition for years.  We have also often made gifts for others and for each other, and I fully support any tradition that stems from meaning rather than from a sales pitch!</description>

		<description>Some friends of mine decided that they would buy nothing. They actually make all of the gifts that they give. There problem is that even though they are trying to teach there young son this ideal one side of parents insists on showering gifts on the boy.

It is an interesting dichotomy of the spirit and the commercialism of Christmas.
